So here I am again writing on the the ol' blog.
I was thinking today while I was out on lunch, the longer couples are together the more they begin to look like one another. I am not talking just in the physical sense but also in the way the dress, sometimes the way they do/cut/style their hair. The begin to develop the same mannerisms and begin to react the same way to things that happen to them.
I not quite sure why this happens but it does. If you are in a relationship, the next time you have a conversation with your significant other just think about this and look for these subtle similarities. You may not want to admit it but they are there.
If you are not in a relationship, then just go out on a sunny day and go to the local park. Just sit and people watch. Watch couples have conversations and you will see what I am talking about.
In other news, the new there's a new pontiff and town and he calls himself '
Benedict' and he's here to lay down a blessing.
At 78, Pope Benedict XVI is the oldest cardinal to be elected in over 275 years. He is the first German pope in about 950 years and that one only lasted for two years.
The Benedict has obviously been used before by other pontiffs but the most recent was during WW1, he is most remembered for canonizing Joan of Arc.
Many within and outside the church feel that because of his age he is going to have a transitional papacy after the 26-year reign of John Paul II. This could be good for those other candidates that feel like maybe the Florida vote counters where in the house.
In other news those of you who do look at this blog and have checked out the links, will notice that the Baghdad Burning blog is the main topic of today on Alternet.org.
Those of you who haven't checked out either of these sites really should.
